DALLAS --  Susan G. Komen for the Cure announced this week it's cutting the $700,000 annual donation the organization has made to Planned Parenthood to provide poor women with breast cancer screening, education and access to mammograms.

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg announced on Thursday that he's personally donating $250,000 to Planned Parenthood.

A Dallas, Texas foundation also announced a $250,000 donation.

At the same time the "Christian Science Monitor" reports the Komen foundation says it's had a 100-percent increase in donations over the past two days.
