June 2, Monday Morning Forecast
By Chris Martin
Good Monday morning everyone. We're looking at more heat coming the next few days. A cold front is set to move in and hang out over the Panhandle. This morning, we're waking up to plenty of sunshine and winds coming from the north at 10 to 15 miles-per-hour.
Another strong cap in the middle atmosphere will try to prevent any thunderstorms this afternoon, even with the extra help from the cold front moving in. North of the front, highs will only get to the 80s, to the south, we'll top out in the 90s.
For tomorrow and Wednesday, high pressure will be building over the High Plains, and we'll start to bake, with highs in the 90s and 100s.
The heat lets off from Thursday through the rest of the week, with the arrival of another cold front, and isolated thunderstorms will be possible. Those rain chances will be around for Friday and Saturday afternoons as well.
Make it a great day!
