January 1, Wednesday Evening Forecast

Happy New Year everyone! We're starting off the year on a cooler and windy note behind the latest frontal boundary. We even had some light snow in our northern counties this morning but the area will be clear tonight, allowing for frost to form on surfaces. Thursday morning will be very cold and clear with lows in the teens and 20s but the winds won't be nearly as strong.

Tomorrow afternoon, the breezes will come from the southwest and allow us to warm back into the upper 40s and lower 50s with plenty of sunshine.

Friday, we'll heat up to the 60s with strong winds and mostly sunny skies before we cool right back down to the 40s on Saturday. A few of our friends to the north will see some flurries, but there won't be much moisture to work with.

The rest of the weekend will stay cold but an even stronger front will move in Sunday night into Monday morning to keep us very cold with temperatures in the teens and another shot at brief light snow or flurries. That cool down will last through the middle of next week.

Make it a great evening!
