House Fire in Randall County Closes Part of Western Street

AMARILLO --  It took two and a half hours for the the Randall County Sheriff's department to get a house fire under control, earlier this evening, and Western street is still blocked off due to fire equipment.
        It happened around 5:30 p.m., on the 12000 block of S. Western.
        The Amarillo Fire Department, the Lake Tanglewood Volunteer Fire Department, and the Canyon Fire Department all responded.
        No one was hurt, and it was under control at around 8:00 pm..
        The Randall County Fire Chief, James Amerson, said Western between Mack Road and Mills Lane will most likely be closed for some time, as they try and clear equipment from the scene.
        Crews are still at the scene, watching for hot spots.
