It was a day focused on the game of kings at Don Harrington Discovery Center.
We are talking about chess, of course.
People who attended the event learned how to play the game or improve their skills.
The event also included non-elimination tournaments, speed chess, and even a chess master playing the game blindfolded!
15 year old Xaviar says, "it's a challenging game, it's a mind game and it never gets old because there is new strategies every time.
10 year old Adi says, "it just helps my brain think harder and its addicting."
Ephraim says, "because it's a fun game "
Chess day was the first of two events taking place this month at the discovery center.
