AMARILLO -- A man has life-threatening injuries after a fight in his front yard.

It happened on the 3800 block of Lewis Lane near 34th and Georgia just after 9 p.m. Monday.

Police say 29-year-old Jon Thomas Loehe drove to the home on Lewis Lane and started fighting with the victim in the front yard. They think at least one other person assaulted the victim with Loehe.

They say the victim got away, went into his home, and got a shotgun.

The victim's wife went to call police. When she came back outside, she found her husband lying on the ground with a large cut on his head.

The suspect or suspects and the shotgun were gone.

Police say they found Loehe with the shotgun. He's been booked into the Randall County Jail on an Aggravated Assault causing serious bodily injury charge.
