Perryton, Texas -
PERRYTON – DPS reports that four people have died in a two vehicle wreck 20 miles south of Perryton.
DPS reports that Manuel Jimenez was driving a Chevy Captiva traveling south on Highway 70.
The driver of a Ford F-250 traveling north on Highway 70 witnessed the Captiva swerving. The driver moved to the shoulder.
The Captiva over corrected to the right and then sharply over corrected back to the left going across the highway and striking the truck.
Both vehicles traveled into the bar ditch and unit one erupted into flames. The truck then rolled onto its top.
The driver of unit two was able to escape before unit two also caught fire.
Manuel Jimenez, Eunice Jimenez and a 2-year-old child died at the scene. A passenger in the truck, Rodrigo Jimenez, died at the scene.
The driver of the truck survived.
