CANYON, Texas (KAMR) - Midway Alternative School is opening its doors after a successful move.
At one time classes were conducted in portables, and they have now found a new place to educate their students.
Their new location is on 1400 block of 23rd St. in Canyon.
Students who attend study the same curriculum as other students, but learning happens at a different pace and not always at the desk.
"My goal is to eventually have other schools in the region come here to see what we do for our kids, and how we're able to get our kids to graduate, and how we're able to help our kids in the future," said Midway Alternative High School Principal Shawn Neeley.
You can pick up an application for Midway Alternative from a Randall or Canyon High School counselor.
