PORTALES -- Changes are coming to upcoming students in New Mexico.

Eastern New Mexico University is changing the requirements for graduation.

Most undergraduate degree programs will now only require 120-hours to graduate

That down from 128-hours before.

Officials say most other universities only require 120-hours to graduate.

Officials say it's not the amount of hours a student takes but the quality of the classes.
