DUMAS -- The boil water advisory issued on Friday, August 16, to certain City of Dumas water customers has been lifted, except above the "airport line".

All other Dumas water customers, including Mooretex, the DeKalb Addition, and the area of Dumas south of 14th St. may resume normal water use.

However, for those customers who are served by the “airport line” on the south side of U.S. 87 west of Dumas, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) is requiring the City of Dumas water utility to continue to advise customers of the need to boil their water prior to consumption.
DUMAS -- The water main has been repaired.

For Dumas water customers who had not water pressure problems, you can resume normal water use, and outside watering.

But residents that had pressure problems, need to keep boiling their water.

The advisory will be lifted when test results are back on water samples.
