Amarillo, Texas -
AMARILLO -- Today around 10:35 a.m., Amarillo Police responded to a reported drive-by shooting at the apartments at 1600 N. Fairfield.
A witness painting the apartments reported that a white, older model Jeep Cherokee was southbound on Fairfield in front of the apartments. The car stopped. The driver fired two or three shots toward the apartment. The vehicle then drove off.
Officers recovered one cartridge case in the street, and found one bullet impact in the concrete wall.
Officers could not find any people except the painter outside. Police say the suspect may have been shooting at the painter, but officers have been unable to confirm that.
No one was injured and there have been no arrests.
Officers say the man appeared to have a self-inflicted gunshot wound.…
