AMARILLO -- DPS seized 25 pounds of marijuana, valued at almost $111,000, Sunday during a traffic stop.

Just before 10 a.m., a DPS trooper pulled over a 2014 Nissan Versa traveling eastbound on I-40 for a traffic violation, near Conway in Carson County.

Jo Beth Bynum, 28, was placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance, a second-degree felony, and booked into the Carson County Jail.

The trooper discovered 22 bundles of marijuana in the trunk.

The illegal drugs were allegedly being transported from Klamath Falls, Oregon to Memphis, Tennessee.
