DPS Trooper Seizes Drugs in Carson County Traffic Stop

AMARILLO -– DPS arrested Ignacio Hernandez Tuesday in Carson County for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Hernandez reportedly had five pounds of cocaine valued at over $156,000 and 47 pounds of marijuana valued at over $208,000 in his possession.

DPS pulled over Hernandez's RV on I-40 at 5:34 p.m. for a traffic violation, near Conway in Carson County.

During the traffic stop, the trooper discovered 47 bundles of marijuana and two bundles of cocaine in the floor of the RV.

Hernandez was booked into the Carson County Jail. 

The illegal drugs were allegedly being transported from Fontana, Calif., to Oklahoma City.
