AMARILLO – A DPS traffic stop Wednesday on I-40 yielded 160 pounds of marijuana, valued at over $711,000.

At 10:04 a.m., a DPS trooper pulled over Grayson Lee Jones, 23, in a 2012 Toyota Camry for a traffic violation, near Bushland on I-40.

During the traffic stop, the trooper discovered 150 bundles of marijuana in the trunk.

Jones was placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance, a first-degree felony, and booked into the Potter County Jail.

The illegal drugs were allegedly being transported from San Francisco to Georgia.
