DPS Seizes $99,000 Worth of Cocaine in Potter County

AMARILLO –- During a DPS traffic stop Saturday on I-40, a trooper seized over three pounds of cocaine valued at over $99,000.
At 3:01 p.m., a DPS trooper conducted a traffic stop on a 2014 Ford Fusion traveling eastbound on I-40, for a traffic violation, near Amarillo in Potter County.
During the traffic stop, the trooper discovered one bundle of cocaine in the trunk.
DPS arrested 37-year-old Anthony Roshawn Bens and 53-year-old Vernard Ward for possession of a controlled substance, a first-degree felony, and booked into the Potter County Jail.

The illegal drugs were allegedly being transported from California to Littlerock, Ark.
