DPS Seizes 60 Pounds of Marijuana

AMARILLO -- A DPS traffic stop on I-40, yielded over 60 pounds of marijuana with a street value over $27,000.

On August 1 at 7:11 p.m., a DPS trooper pulled over a 2014 Cadillac XTS traveling eastbound on I-40, for a traffic violation, near Amarillo in Potter County.

During the traffic stop, the trooper discovered six bundles of marijuana in the trunk.

The driver Anthony Lee Hill, 37, and passenger Andrea Yvette Hill, 38, were arrested for possession and delivery of marijuana over 50 pounds but less than 2000 pounds, a first-degree felony, and booked into the Potter County Jail. 

The illegal drugs were allegedly being transported from Phoenix to Oklahoma City.
