DPS seized over 120 pounds of marijuana Thursday, after a Texas Highway Patrol Trooper stopped a vehicle in Carson County.
At 11:00 p.m., a DPS trooper stopped a 2009 Toyota Camry traveling east on I-40 near Conway for a traffic violation.
A DPS canine unit was called to the scene and alerted on the vehicle. The trooper then discovered five large cellophane-wrapped packages of marijuana inside the trunk.
The marijuana is worth approximately $730,000.
43-year-old Jacob Kent, of Chester, Va., was arrested and charged with felony possession of marijuana. Kent was transported and booked into the Carson County jail.
The drugs allegedly were being transported from Las Vegas to Richmond, Va.
