APD has investigated more than 20 home burglaries per week in the last month.

Some burglary detectives believe burglars are selecting targets by driving around some residential areas, watching for people to leave their home.

They may knock on the door to confirm that the the hous is vacant, and then break in if no one answers.

Detectives are asking that you call poplice if you notice a suspicious car prowling the neighborhood.

They say to note the vehicle, color, make, and license plate number if you can, and then call the police non-emergency number at 378-3038.

Remember, reporting suspicious activity doesn't require you to proive your name or any of your person information.
