Crews Battling The Bowers Ranch Fire in Hutchinson County

More than 20 departments have joined the fight

HUTCHINSON COUNTY, TX - UPDATE (8:30 P.M.): 

The Texas A&M Forest Service said they now have a more accurate evaluation of the damage done by a fire in Hutchinson County.

A tweet revealed 8,253 acres burned but is 70% contained. 

Another tweet reported three homes had been in danger of damage but crews were able to save the structures. 

Crews are battling The Bowers Ranch Fire in Hutchinson County. More than 20 departments have joined the fight. 

A post on the Borger Office of Emergency Management page said containment efforts are going well, but the active fire is in a difficult area to reach in the Canadian riverbed.
