CHILDRESS -- Two to six inches of rain falls around Childress last night.
Several county maintenance offices, including Collingsworth and Childress, reported water over the roadways in some areas this morning.
According to TxDOT, traffic was slow moving at the US 83 railroad underpass south of Childress.
If there is still standing water, officials are encouraging motorists to use caution and to not travel through standing water, as they say, "Turn around, dont drown."
