Chevron Phillips Sells Ryton Plant in Borger

BORGER -- Most employees of the Chevron Phillips plant in Borger will get to keep their jobs, after the Ryton business is sold.

The company announced today that it is selling the Ryton plant, and several other of it's assets, to Solvay Specialty Polymers.

The selling price was $220 million.

In a statement, Solvay spokespersons said they hope to make the transition smooth for customers and employees.

The sale is expected to be complete by the end of this year.
