A longtime downtown Amarillo tradition is providing fun for locals.
Amarillo's annual Center City Block Party started at 4:00 p.m. and will continue until midnight.
Tickets are $15 at the gate.
Not only is their lots of entertainment, but it also raises money for downtown Amarillo.
This year their goal is to raise about $60 dollars.
An block party goer says, "we're always having fun, we like to check out the food and everything. The music, like a while ago they had some tejano music going on. We meet a lot of people from back home from the Borger area and we meet new friends here in Amarillo."
Organizers say the event has 22 bands playing on four stages.
There's also all kinds of drinks and carnival type food like corn dogs, snow cones, and funnel cakes.
