One of Amarillo's most heavily traveled roads will be getting a major facelift starting June 2.
LA Fuller and Sons received a $2 million contract to fix up Southwest 34th from Soncy Road to Coulter Street.
Road work will include completely reconstructing the surface of the road.
Motorists are encouraged to take alternate routes, and use extreme caution when in the area.
An official said a small plane crashed shortly after takeoff.
