Bushland's Jayla Norman Signs With Cal State-Fullerton

BUSHLAND, TX. - Bushland High School's Jayla Norman became the second High Plains volleyball player this season to sign to a Division I school, committing to play at Cal State-Fullerton on Thursday.

Norman helped lead the Falcons to the Class 4A state championship in her senior season where she was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player.

"I don't think it was so much the division one," Norman said before officially signing her National Letter of Intent. "I think the thing that it came down to was the coaching. I kind of fell in love with [the coach] and it was a bonus that it was division one."

She joins Amarillo High's Emerson Solano as Panhandle girls taking their talents to Division I volleyball.
