CANADIAN -- Officials have released the cause of death for the seven-year old and her aunt that died near the Canadian River.

Officials say both died from drowning.

7-year-old Emily Purcell and 24-year-old Marquita Medrano went missing nearly two weeks ago.

Pucell's body was found on June 23.

Medrano's was found five days later.

They went missing after riding horseback near the river.

Flash flooding was also a factor of how they went missing.
