AMARILLO – Amarillo Police responded to a call early Wednesday morning in the 2100 block of SE 38th on someone prowling around the area.
Officers found two suspects in the area. Police took Ernesto Manuel Ponce Jr., 17, and another juvenile into custody.
Police recovered numerous items (money, credit cards, and several small electronic devices) that believed to be stolen.
Some of the items were returned and other items were booked into evidence until the owner can be located.
Ponce is booked into Randall County on a charge of Criminal Trespass and Possession of Narcotic Paraphernalia. The juvenile was identified and released back to their parents pending further investigation.
This investigation is ongoing and additional charges are anticipated.
