AmeriPride will donate $9,000 worth of clothing to the Downtown Women's Center. The donation will take place at 9:30 am on the corner of 10th and Adams.
The Downtown Women's Center provides housing and services to overcome homelessness and addiction in the Amarillo community. AmeriPride will deliver 450 pairs of pants to help women prepare for entry into the workforce.
"It is extremely important to our branch to help the less fortunate in our community in any way we can," Gary Leamer, GM of AmeriPrides Amarillo branch said.
According to AmeriPride, in the last few years, the Amarillo branch has contributed to local charities through fundraisers and garment and linen donations in the area. Recipients include March of Dimes, Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Special Olympics and Salvation Army, among others.
