UPDATE 4:10 P.M. -- The shooting occurred at El Siete de Copas.
Officials say the victims had a neck wound and a shoulder wound. One officer described the wounds as “grazing” type wounds.
At least one vehicle on the parking lot was hit by gunfire.
No other arrests are expected at this point in the investigation.
AMARILLO 9:33 A.M. – Early this morning, Amarillo Police responded to hang-up call at a bar in the 2800 block of E. Amarillo Blvd.
As officers arrived, they witnessed several shots fired from a vehicle leaving the parking lot.
The officers were able to stop the suspect vehicle in the 800 block of N. Nelson, and learned there were two shooting victims behind the bar.
The victims' injuries were not life threatening, and the two victims declined medical treatment.
Police detained two suspects and recovered a firearm from the vehicle.
Police arrested the driver, 20-year-old Richard Allen Martinez, and booked him into the Potter County Correctional Center and charges of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
The investigation is ongoing.
