Amarillo Police Arrest Two after Burglarizing Pleasant Valley Elementary

AMARILLO – Amarillo Police responding to a burglary in progress call at Pleasant Valley Elementary arrested two Sunday morning.

A school employees responding to an alarm call at the building saw two young males walking away, carrying a black box containing ten iPads. 

Responding officers found Jorge Isaac Najera, 18, and a juvenile male beside a dumpster near the school with the black box beside it

A check of the school revealed that the suspects had broken a window to gain entry into the school.

Najera was booked into the Potter County Detention Center for burglary, possession of marijuana under two ounces, and three municipal warrants.  

Juvenile authorities had officers release the juvenile to a parent.
