By Karl Wehmhoener | firstname.lastname@example.org
AMARILLO -- Early Saturday morning, Amarillo Police were on patrol in the 2200 block of S Milam when they observed a white Lincoln Towncar prowling around the area.
As the officer was approaching the suspects, the driver noticed the officer approached and alerted the two suspects. Both subjects took off running on foot and the driver sped off as well.
More officers were called in to search the area. Officers later found a white Lincoln Towncar sitting in a nearby driveway. As officers approached the vehicle they located a male driver and another male sitting in the rear passenger side seat. Both male occupants were pretending to be asleep.
Officers searched the vehicle and found a gray purse along with two different GPS systems.
The purse was later found to have been stolen out of a vehicle in the 4200 block of Cline and one of the GPS systems was found to have been stolen out of a vehicle in the 1400 SW 35th. These items were returned to the owners.
The pick-up on Milam had two shotguns stolen out of it and was recovered when the suspects took off running.
The two juveniles were booked into the Youth Center of the High Plains.
