Amarillo Man Sentenced After Fatal Chase

An Amarillo man is given the maximum sentence after killing a man during a chase.

26-year-old Ruben Marez will spend 20 years in prison for evading arrest causing death.

Last December Marez took off from law enforcement in Childress County.

Documents show he collided with Bobby Sherwood of Childress during that chase.

Sherwood died because of the wreck.
