Amarillo Man Arrested After Late Night Vandalism Spree

AMARILLO -- Tuesday night, Amarillo Police responded to a vandalism call in the the 1700 block of W. 6th. 

A victim told police that the suspect, 38-year-old Kelly Lee Lamberson, had just slashed several tires on different vehicles. 

Other victims came forward to tell police that there were more slashed tires and two broken windows to a business. 

Officers found Lamberson near 6th and Monroe. He was in possession of a pocket knife handle but the blade was now missing. 

Police took Lamberson into custody while additional officers continued their investigation. 

One vehicle had 3 tires slashed on it, one vehicle had 2 tires slashed, and 3 different vehicles each had one tire slashed on them. 

Lamberson was arrested and booked into Potter County Correction Center on charges with Criminal Mischief over $1500 less than $20,000 and for Public Intoxication.
