Amarillo Man Arrested After Breaking Into Apartment, Assaulting Ex-Girlfriend

AMARILLO – Early Tuesday morning, Amarillo Police responded to a domestic dispute 1550 S. Bell.  Police also responded late Monday night to an earlier instance at the same residence.

Police arrested 19-year-old Jerrico Nathaniel Duncan after he broke into the house a second time and assaulted a victim.

Duncan returned and entered the home through a window he broke Monday night.  

Duncan forcibly took the cell phone away from the teenage girl.  He then pushed and punched the adult female and took her cell phone.  

He came back and tried to gain entry into a bathroom where the females had taken refuge when officers arrived. 

Officers arrested Duncan for burglary of a habitation with intent to commit assault, interference with an emergency telephone call, and three local traffic warrants. 

He was booked into the Potter County Detention Center. 

The female victims had no visible injury and declined medical attention.
