Some people are looking to buy and sell certain forms of money here in Amarillo.
The Amarillo Coin and Currency Show started August 23rd at the Civic Center.
Dealers from came from New Mexico, Oklahoma and Arizona, hoping to exchange paper money, silver and gold bullion and jewelry.
The event also included an exhibit area highlighted by paper money issued by the Republic of Texas up through the Civil War.
Mary Beth Seyers says, "I got interested in it because my dad collected them for forever and he had some really old coins and they were pretty and that's what I liked about it. It's great to meet these people. They're very kind and very knowledgable. I've learned so much just walking around in an hour."

Admission is $3.00 for adults and and kids 16 and under are free.
