Amarillo City Council Takes Stand Against Railroad Commission

AMARILLO -- Amarillo City Council members are taking a stand against higher gas rates.

They discussed the issue during today's meeting.

Cities across Texas lost local control with natural gas providers.

And because of that the Railroad Commission is wanting to charge all regions the same rate.

That means we'll end up paying higher rates and pay for projects that don't necessarily affect our area.
