UPDATE: Accused Plotter Arrested Again Facing More Arson Charges

The Amarillo Police release more information on the arson charge.

The arson charge and resulting arrest in Oldham County stems from a 2014 incident in which someone set fire to a flammable liquid put on the roof of an unoccupied house on the 2700 block of Emily Place in Amarillo.

There was significant damage, mostly limited to the attic and roof area. It was initially investigated as an arson by AFD Fire Marshals but no arrests were made at that time.

The Oldham County Sheriff's Office received an arrest warrant this afternoon issued out of Randall County for the arrest of Billy Ivy Jr.

The charges are Arson, Intend Damage Habitation / Place of Worship, a 1st Degree Felony.

Members of the Oldham County Sheriff’s Office, the APD SWAT Team, Texas DPS, and the Special Crimes Unit arrested Ivy at his residence in Oldham County on this evening.

Ivy was booked into the Oldham County jail awaiting extradition to Randall County.
