It was a day of fun with friends and family at wonderland for many kiddos.
More than 60 pediatric oncology patients with the Texas Tech Physicians of Amarillo headed to the amusement park for a picnic lunch and an afternoon of rides, prizes, games and fun.
We caught up with a day who says events like this can make all the difference.
Josh Hinkle says, "just forget about all the medical treatments and the technical things that have to go along with the treatments and just to be in the company of others who have gone thought similar circumstances, just to have time and experience life as life is meant to be enjoyed."
The event was a joint effort between the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Panhandle Angels, the Outdoor Adventure Foundation and Circle of Friends.
