AMARILLO -- Local filmmakers are slamming together a film this weekend in hopes of making it to the Cannes Film Festival.

It's the 48-hour film project.

Teams met at Roasters tonight.

They drew their genre and were assigned a character, a prop, and a line of dialogue.

If they drop their film off before 7:30 p.m. Sunday, they're eligible for an la film festival.

If they get top ten there, they get to show their film at the Cannes Film Festival.
