Amarillo, Texas -
Hundreds of acres caught fire outside of Stinnett on May 11, and the cause is unknown.
According to Hutchinson County Emergency Responders, the fire started north of Stinnett around 9:00 a.m. near Highway 152 and County Road Nine.
Emergency crews from all around the area responded to help fight the fire.
It was out around 2:00 in the afternoon, but crews remained on scene throughout the day because of high winds and lingering hot spots.
In total the fire burned 420 acres.
