2 Indicted After Allegedly Locking a Child in a Room With Exposed Electrical Outlets, Nails, ETC..

Two people are accused of intentionally abandoning a child and exposing that child to harm.

Mary Blanton and Jerry Boyd Blanton were both indicted on those charges from an incident last August .

They allegedly left a child under the age of 15 locked inside a room with exposed electrical outlets, unsanitary conditions with inadequate furnishings. 

Officials say the child was also exposed to nails and screws.

Documents show, the two did not voluntarily deliver the child to a designated emergency infant care provider.
