(NBC News)  The second-highest ranking Republican in The House will soon be out of a job.

House Majority Leader Eric Cantor lost his party's primary Tuesday.

Cantor lost to a relatively unknown Tea Party candidate Dave Brat by a stunning margin. The ripples from this defeat will be felt far beyond Henrico County, Virginia, and is proof that the Tea Party still packs a punch.
