  • Your High Plains Weather
Now that the upper level low pressure system (that brought us rain yesterday,) has pushed south into Mexico, our Panhandle region has embarked on a dry weather pattern.  So, our weather will now be quiet but warmer.  Expect low to mid 80's Saturday afternoon and sunshine, but then we'll push into the low 90's Sunday (and Monday too!)  Nights will be: either side of 50-degrees (warmer than it was the past few nights.)  Next chance of rain: about a week away.  Enjoy your weekend.  We'll look for you tonight at 5pm, 6pm and 10pm on KAMR-TV, and one hour earlier at 9pm on our sister station; FOX 14 KCIT-TV.

  • Weather Advisory Policy
As a public service, NBC4/Fox14 Amarillo lists weather-related closings, cancellations and delays as lower-sixth text over our regular programming.

Keep in mind that we cannot list events that are not reported to us, nor do we list events going on 'as scheduled.' If your event is not listed, you may want to call ahead. If your school is not listed, classes will probably be held as scheduled.

NBC4/Fox14 lists closing, cancellation and delay information from non-profit groups, medical offices, schools, utilities, governmental and other public safety agencies. We reserve the right to limit information from commercial ventures to those involving instructional classes, public performances (including bingo sessions) or work advisories from major employers.
